Tianjin Teda say they are yet to discover the cause of the mysterrious ailment which will rule captain John Obi Mikel again when they host Guangzhou Evergrande on Saturday.

The Chinese Super League side played Guizhou Hengfeng Zhicheng without theur captain who has been suffering an abdominal strain since their 2-0 win against Chongqing Lifan.

The midfielder went through a series of tests – including nuclear magnetic resonance, but the cause of injury could not be detected.

The 29-year-old will miss the game against South China Tiger as he was absent during the club’s trainings this week.
